The Microsoft 365 and Skype environments can coexist if PIC or External Communications is disabled for the Microsoft 365 domain. This issue occurs because of the way that the session initiation protocol (SIP) services are advertised. In this scenario, when the users sign in to Skype, they are forced to change their Microsoft account to use a domain that isn't in conflict with Microsoft 365. External Communications is enabled in Skype for Business Online for Microsoft 365 Business organizations.Public IM connectivity (PIC) is enabled in Skype for Business Online for Microsoft 365 Enterprise organizations.The users' Microsoft account uses the same domain name as Microsoft 365.This issue occurs if the following conditions are true: Method 3: Use a different domain for your Microsoft account, or use a different domain in Microsoft 365.To do so, follow the steps in Let Skype for Business Online users communicate outside your organization.
